Getaway 2013: Day Eight (New Orleans)

I am fairly certain this is the post you’ve all been patiently waiting for.  No one really cared about the cruise did they?!  (You should though, it was rad.)  Everyone just wants to see New Orleans…specifically Bourbon Street, the French Quarter and Mardi Gras.  I don’t blame you!

We checked in to our hotel early, lounged around for a couple of hours, then decided we’d head out for a walk just to get our bearings before cleaning up and hitting the town for the night.  Needless to say, we got caught up in the Mardi Gras madness on our walk and didn’t make it back to our hotel until bedtime.
